Abstract

Thin film ferrites have emerged as key components in the development of magnetic sensors and devices, owing to their unique magnetic properties and versatility in various technological applications. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the synthesis methods, structural characteristics, magnetic properties, and diverse applications of thin film ferrites in magnetic sensors and devices. The synthesis of thin film ferrites involves a variety of deposition techniques such as chemical vapor deposition (CVD), sputtering, sol-gel processing, molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), and pulsed laser deposition (PLD), each offering distinct advantages in terms of control over film composition, thickness, and crystalline structure. Structural characterization techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) provide insights into the morphology, grain size, and crystalline phases of thin film ferrites. The continued research and innovation in thin film ferrites promise to drive further advancements in magnetic sensors and devices, enabling new possibilities in electronics, telecommunications, healthcare, and beyond.
