Introduction: Femoral neck fracture is a very rare injury occurring in young population and is associated with high energy trauma. Osteo-synthesis in femoral neck fracture plays an important role in young population as the head can be saved .However it is associated with lot of complication like late onset avascular necrosis of head of femur, non-union, implant fixation failure and soon. Therefore anatomic reduction and stable fixation is necessary for preventing complication.
Materials and Methods: The study was conducted between June 2018 and June 2020. The study was conducted in 60 patients. In this study we have compared the outcome and complications of conventional inverted triangle configuration of Cannulated Cancellous Screw and Biplanar Double Supported Screw Fixation in osteo-synthesis of femoral neck fracture in young population below 60 years.
Conclusion: Femoral Neck Fracture in young is very rare type of injury and head can be saved if operated and fixed early. Both the method of osteo-synthesis have complications but rate of complications like infection, non-union and implant breakage is much greater in group A which were operated by inverted triangle configuration method. Modified Harris Hip Score was better in the group B which was treated with Biplanar double support fixation.
